The international pageant

Miss Intercontinental is among the longest-running international pageants, now past its fiftieth edition. Delegates from roughly seventy nations gather for a two-week production of photo and video shoots, cultural events and rehearsals, competing across continental categories — Africa, Asia & Oceania, Europe, North America and South America — before a single Grand Final crowning.

Recent editions have been staged in Egypt, on the Red Sea coast at Sahl Hasheesh. The exact date of the next final is set by the international organisation. To confirm

The national title

Miss Intercontinental Zambia is the national franchise. Its job is to find, prepare and send the one woman who will represent Zambia there — and to give her a platform at home that is worth more than the trip.
